Field Service ManagerYour Role And ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Marine Service & Digital, Process Automation in South Korea.

You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

Qualifications For The Role3 - 5 years experience level in new building commissioning with drive system or relevant experienceA Bachelor’s Degree, major in Electric / Electrical / Control engineering or relatedWillingness and possibilities to travel, mainly local shipyard (95%)Experience within electrical systems onboard ships will be an advantage but not an absolute requirementsExperience within Automation systems onboard ships will be an advantageThe ability to understand and find practical solutions to problems and perform tasks under pressureGood in both written and verbal English and KoreanMore About Us (Mandatory)ABB Marine & Ports supplies world-leading technologies that are driving the evolution of sustainable shipping.
