This position supports services for our Air Traffic Controller (ATC) products. We are hiring Field Service Technicians in multiple locations across the U.S. to support the deployment of advanced systems at customer installation sites. In this role, you will work closely with customers and contracting partners to coordinate, manage, and execute system installations, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Our Field technicians must reside within one hour of a major international airport, be willing and able to travel up to 95% of the time and have strong communication and collaboration skills.Your tasksConduct on-site or in-house site surveys, installation and repair of equipment/systems to ensure it meets Rohde & Schwarz’ high standards of performanceDiagnose equipment malfunctions, perform repairs and complete preventative maintenanceProvide remote support to customers and complete service tickets in the ticketing systemAvailable to support a 24x7 on-call schedule together with a team, and respond to on-demand travel for service actionsUnderstand complex system architecture and apply that to diagnostic processRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics to ensure proper installationRepresent the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer’s satisfaction with equipment and servicingAccurately prepare daily logs and reports of work performed, including hours spent and inventory used for each assignmentAbility to work independently on moderately complex projectsEffectively communicate with customers in a professional business environmentExciting insights into Rohde & SchwarzOur Colleagues Provide Insider Information AboutDaily adventures and challengesOur passionate teamThe technologies behind the innovative projects and solutionsYour browser does not support the video tagYour Qualifications4+ years of experience in systems repair, maintenance, and installation- telecom cabling installation a plusFamiliarity with ATC systems installation and service is a plusExperience conducting site surveysHands-on experience with electrical, mechanical and construction related projectsHands-on experience in cabling for VOIP and telecom-related installations and maintenance.Understanding of IP Networking and network configuration principlesBasic understanding of RF concepts and devicesCan effectively use standard professional software such as Microsoft Office products and ticketing systemsAbility to travel up to 95%, primarily domestic travel with occasional international travel, often on short noticeWillingness to work outside standard working hours, on holidays and weekendsMust be capable of lifting 75 pounds- including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materialsBased within commute distance of a major US commercial service airportUS Person, capable of obtaining FAA security clearance and pass a government clearance background checkInterested?We are looking forward to receiving your application!The total compensation for this position is $33-$48 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
