We don’t just sell and rent heavy equipment — we keep it running strong.As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of what we do: diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar machines in the shop. Whether it’s a dozer, excavator, wheel loader, haul truck, you’ll use your skills and experience to deliver top-tier service that keeps our customers moving. You will work in the shop servicing and performing:Diagnostics and repair on heavy equipment, including Caterpillar engines and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems. Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components to ensure optimal performance. Additional duties include servicing Air Conditioning systems, maintaining detailed service records, collaborating with fellow technicians on complex repairs, and adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment. COMPETENCIES:Proficient reading and writing skillsStrong mechanical and mathematical aptitudeBasic computer literacyFamiliarity with Caterpillar engine and equipment linesIn-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment applications, operations, and functionsSkilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician, Service Information System)Expertise in diagnostic, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting proceduresWelding experience is a plusJOB QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers.
