This position works to oversee core sampling in the Macraes Core Shed and provide field support to the Exploration Department at the Macraes Operation. Working a 8 days on, 6 days off, daytime only roster, this is a true opportunity to join New Zealand's largest gold mine to start or further develop your career.Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesMaintain the Macraes core shed storage facilities, stores and equipment in good order.Complete all drill core processing activities (mark up, photography, manual core cutting and sampling).Delivery of drilling and other samples to the analytical laboratory.Carry out all sample storage and retrieval activities.Assist with diamond, blast hole and RC drill sample field collection as required (Exploration and Open Pit Grade Control).Comply with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures.Carry out all other duties that may reasonably be required.Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review of procedures when required.QualificationsFull and current drivers licence required, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.A degree in Geology/Earth sciences is preferred but not essentialNCEA level 2 Maths and English.Basic level of computer competencyForklift licence (preferred)Additional InformationResidential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZ.8 on, 6 off, daytime only rosterDiscounts on retail and servicesFree Southern Cross Healthcare InsuranceLiving Our Values recognition programOnsite Physiotherapist and nurses suiteFree transport to workStudy assistanceAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respectedApplications close 14 November 2025.
