The ideal candidate will be a team player who collaborates with colleagues, in alignment with OceanaGold’s Purpose, Vision and Values. Macraes is the largest mining operation in New Zealand, and these positions have true opportunity to progress long-term. They would suit recent graduates, or anyone looking to gain experience in a large-scale mining operation.You will provide important support to our Open Pit mining team by collecting representative ore samples and demonstrating sound health and safety practices, while learning about a key aspect of the gold mining process. This role involves working outdoors in all weather and can be quite physical with regular lifting of 5 – 10kg samples.
