More at acmi.net.auAbout The RoleACMI is seeking a Film & TV Curator to join our Programming team. The Film & TV Curator is responsible for the selection, production and delivery of screening programs and events, balancing commercial and cultural imperatives whilst responding to the wider film industry. The role delivers audience-centred programming for a premium cinema experience, supports and collaborates with festival partners and builds an enthusiastic audience across the general public, cinephiles and the industry. This is a full-time ongoing role reporting to the Senior Programmer, Film & Screen Industry.What You'll Bring To The RoleExtensive experience in screen culture, film distribution and film exhibition sectors in either mainstream and independent arenas.A broad and up-to-date knowledge of the local and international film festival and TV streaming environments.Wide-ranging and active working relationships with international sales agents, local distributors, filmmakers and associated fields.Demonstrated experience in the successful identification and management of issues associated with curating major film programs within a cultural institution within established timeline and budget parameters, underpinned by established research and quality standards.Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills to develop quality program content and be able to contribute to strategic direction with the capacity to source and generate innovative content materials.What we offerFull-time ongoing Grade 4.1 role with a starting salary of $97,955 plus super.A talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for screen culture, technology and media, cultural diversity, and inspiring new forms of creativity in our communities.
