Role: Finance - Hedge Accounting Level: AVPSalary: Circa. £65,000Location: London (City) with Flexible WorkingStart Date: ASAPAre you ready to take your career to the next level? Our client, a prestigious Global Banking Group, is seeking a talented Finance Hedge Accounting specialist to support their Finance and Control EMEA team with both Hedge Accounting and Product Control. In this impactful role, you will:Handle regular accounting tasks within Product Control and Hedge Accounting, including ledger postings, reconciliations, and IFRS compliance.Manage Hedge Accounting for EMEA: designation, documentation, valuation, testing, postings, and monitoring.Support XVA Accounting and ensure alignment with internal and external guidelines.Assist with monthly and term-end closings across multiple ledgers, including manual adjustments and audit requests.Perform system reconciliations and collaborate with Middle Office, Controlling, and Front Office teams.Prepare Open Currency Position reports and balance sheet substantiations.Maintain Finance & Control procedures and contribute to a strong control environment.What you bring to the table:Experience of 3 years +, in investment banking or financial services.Solid experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a financial institutionStrong knowledge of IFRS and relevant accounting exposureQualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent).Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complexityProficiency in Excel and tools like PowerBI or CoPilotExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills (advanced German is a plus).
