Finance Administrator (Fixed-Term Contract) – Hillcrest, PretoriaLocation: Hillcrest, PretoriaSalary: R490,224.85 per annumContract Duration: Fixed termAbout the RoleAn established public sector organisation based in Hillcrest, Pretoria is seeking a Finance Administrator to join their team on a fixed-term basis immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and maintaining sound financial administration processes, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, and supporting the division in upholding strong internal controls.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Finance Administrator, your role will include:• Uploading financial data onto the organisation’s MIS and financial systems.• Capturing creditors and debtors information on the Financial Accounting System.• Receiving, verifying, and submitting service provider invoices for approval.• Implementing and monitoring adherence to financial policies and procedures.• Reconciling the general ledger, purchase orders, and supplier statements.• Managing payroll and employee financial files with confidentiality.• Preparing and processing payment requisitions and creditors reconciliations.• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.• Performing data retrieval and providing support during audits.• Maintaining accurate documentation for traceability and audit readiness.• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service quality.• Supporting the finance team in ensuring compliance and preventing irregular expenditure.RequirementsTo be considered, you should have:• Immediately available• A National Diploma in Finance, Financial Management, or a related field (NQF 6).• A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) will be advantageous.• Up to 5 years’ experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Control, or Administration.• A valid Code B Driver’s Licence.• Strong administration and computer skills (MS Office proficiency).• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability.• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across diverse teams.• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity.• A proactive and results-driven approach.Why ApplyThis is a valuable opportunity to contribute to a public sector organisation known for its commitment to governance, transparency, and service excellence.
