Finance Operations Associate, Venture Capital Our client is looking for a sharp, motivated individual to join their small finance team and work closely with the Head of Finance in supporting the operational and reporting needs of their VC fund with $200 million in assets under management.This role is ideal for someone early in their finance career, perhaps a part-qualified accountant who’s completed the first stage of exams (and possibly into the professional level) — looking to gain exposure to fund operations, portfolio management, and the inner workings of a VC firm.You will be involved in everything from assisting with financial reporting and fund administration to improving internal processes and supporting investment-related finance work. Assist with the preparation of fund and management company financial statementsSupport the Head of Finance with fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, investor reporting, and reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records across both the fund and management companyLiaise with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and portfolio companiesSupport preparation of management information, budgets, and cash flow forecastsHelp streamline financial processes and reporting workflowsParticipate in ad hoc financial analysis and project work as the firm growsStakeholder management, including presentations and LP queriesExposure to all financial aspects of a venture capital fund and management company.Direct mentorship from an experienced Head of FinanceSupport with continued professional studiesOpportunity to learn the operational side of venture capital — from fund management to portfolio supportA collaborative and entrepreneurial working cultureExcellent salary and bonus Key RequirementsA graduate who is actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA). At least first-level exams completed, ideally into the professional Level1–2 years post graduation accounting experience, ideally working with SME businesses (either at an accountancy practice or in-house at another financial services firm)Understanding of financial statements and strong core accounting fundamentalsSolid Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systemsExcellent attention to detail, organisation, and numerical accuracyProactive, intellectually curious, and eager to learn about the VC and investment ecosystemExcellent visual presentations skills - able to prepare clear, professional materials for internal and external stakeholdersNaturally analytical and adaptable, comfortable working in a small, fast-moving teamKeen to develop a career at the intersection of finance and operations
