Then this opportunity could be for you.Create solutions to enable a better tomorrowWe are seeking a Finance Compliance Specialist to ensure COWI operates in compliance with accounting standards, internal financial policies, and ESG requirements. You will join the Group Finance and Group Compliance team, which oversees financial compliance evaluations, formulates and applies new control measures, and facilitates transformation throughout our worldwide operations.This position encompasses more than just observation; it focuses on facilitating transformation, integrating comprehensive policies, and leveraging data analytics for enhanced accountability and stability.Your key responsibilities include: Conduct financial compliance reviews across business units, applying internal audit methodologies to assess risks, analyse gaps, and recommend corrective actions.Use big data and analytics to identify trends, lags, and anomalies in audits, with a focus on construction contracts and project reporting.Ability to independently create and drive implementation of new internal controls throughout financial, ESG, and comprehensive business processes to guarantee conformity with COWI Policies, global standards and local regulations.Facilitate change management initiatives by backing teams, involving stakeholders, and supplying constructive feedback to leadership for informed decision-making.Monitor regulatory and reporting standards and translate them into practical guidance, updated policies, and control measures.Collaborate across Group Compliance, Reporting, ESG, and Finance to refine governance frameworks and embed a culture of accountability.Your skills. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.Furthermore you should have:Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Auditing, or similar.7+ years of experience in internal audit, compliance reviews, financial controls, or risk management, implementation of processes and controls.Demonstrated ability to design and implement new controls, drive policy development and compliance across multiple stakeholders.Methodological and critical thinker with experience using data-driven methods for audits and compliance reviews.Experience with using data analytics, AI and robotisation for internal audit, compliance reviews and continuous control monitoring is an advantageEffective change management and communication capabilities—capable of engaging leadership and supporting colleagues through new procedures.A place to work and so much moreAt COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
