FUNCTION: This position reports directly to the China Life Science Platform CFO with dotted line to MD global CFO. The position will act as business partner to lead the commercial finance and financial control activities of MD China and work closely with Danaher China Life Science platform to support overall business growth targets.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will also be responsible for, but not limiting to the following duties related with MD China business:Take full responsibilities of the financial matters with the Commercial group and support the Commercial Group pro-actively to achieve the business and strategical targets.Analyze business performance, highlight business issues to management, and proactively identify opportunities and make proposals for operational/financial improvements to support business group to achieve annual targets.Partner with MD China GM and MD China leaders for related analysis& assesses risks & opportunities on sales, Margin, and P&L; provides thorough sensitivity analyses and contingency plans to secure & improve profitability.Conduct as contact window for Danaher China corporate finance and Danaher China Life Sciences platform finance and MD global Finance; coordinate communication/tasks/projects between global and local team.Prepare, monitor and analyze the forecasts and yearly budgets. Work with the local business leaders and global MD team to develop and submit credible & accurate forecasts for revenues, costs, operating expenses and balance sheet. Control and drive Opex saving opportunities and working capital improvement.Review balance sheet reconciliation schedules monthly to ensure any reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly.Own MD China financial control environment and deliver controls in line with Danaher China and MD global processes.Support commercial team to cooperation with key distributors to discuss appropriate rebate, distribution compensation, incentive plan etc.Provide financial support, strong business case analysis and guidance to drive China localization programs and execution.Provide guidance and assistance on PRC and US GAAP analysis of accounting and compliance issues. Handle statutory audits and tax reporting; ensure compliance and audit remediation actions completed on time and solid.Provide leadership to Finance Department. Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback. Coach and develop team members. Seek opportunities to continuously drive finance function organization efficiency especially synergies in existing MD China finance team structure.Advocate and champion continuous improvement within the functional area as well as throughout the organization. Participate and lead in DBS and Kaizen events across opco and platform and throughout the broader organization.Other Ad hoc roles and responsibilities as assigned by LSC China CFO or MD Global CFO.Preferred Skills And AbilitiesWell-rounded experience in both commercial and financial control with a track record of creating value leading to tangible results.Experience of leading and working with high performing teamsIn-depth understanding of financial/operations process and system flow.A hands-on professional and an effective communicator with the ability to influence at senior level and thrive in a dynamic environment.Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.Smart and pick up quickly. Hands on approach with ability to work effectively and in a complex and matrixed environment.Successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.Be familiar with China life Sciences industry rules and regulations.Energetic, highly motivated ,self-confident & logic thinking.Integrity with accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive associate engagementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education / RequirementsBS/BA in Finance or Accounting, CPA (or equivalent) and/or MBA highly desirable. 15+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Experience in commercial business partner, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis highly desirable.Life science industry experience is preferred but not a must.Strong commercial and FP&A experience in big MNC is preferred.Strong financial control experienceExcellent English skills in speaking, reading and writing.Experienced or knowledge of major ERP systems from Finance perspective.Join our winning team today.
