Job Description

We are looking for a stand-out Finance Manager who acts as a true business partner to the AJ Park and IPH businesses. This position leads a highly capable team to deliver finance related services and contribute to the successful delivery of core operational and strategic objectives.This role is part of the centralised IPH finance shared services team and is responsible for all AJ Park management and statutory reporting, as well as leading and championing the roll out of all IPH finance-led initiatives.Strong communication and leadership skills are a must, with the ability to work across different teams and engage various stakeholders.Key responsibilities Responsible for overseeing month-end close including management and review of journal preparation and processing, general ledger reconciliations etcResponsible for accurate and timely monthly consolidated management reports with analytical commentaryLiaise with external auditors to provide relevant information to meet reporting obligations and other requirements in a timely mannerResponsible for the preparation and lodgement of local income tax, GST, RWT and FBT returns and assist Corporate with the statutory reporting obligations of the listed entityInvolvement in ad-hoc finance projects including guidance and recommendations for the application of account standards and taxation law applicable to the groupAssist the MD with business partnering and assistance for the practice groups with preparation and performance against budget and forecastResponsibility for the overall preparation of budgets and forecastsAssist with the tracking and reporting of the employee incentive programManage the national finance operations which directly support the day-to-day management of the business unitDevelopment and implementation of key analytical reporting tools providing business intelligence on financial and business development trends/initiatives.Develop and motivate the finance team to deliver continuous improvement in process and cost efficiencies whilst maintaining a high standard of quality, service and reliabilityManage the efficiency and effectiveness of the team by setting goals and priorities in order to meet key finance related business and organisational objectives of the IPH GroupEnsure compliance with of IPH Group policies and proceduresEnsure correct and accurate accounting classification and reporting of all revenue and expenditureAssist Corporate with maintaining the general ledger system in relation to mapping, subledger, integration and reconciliationsResponsible for cash flow forecasts to ensure adequacy to meet current and future business needsApprove payments of local and overseas invoices including undertaking the purchase of foreign currency where necessaryBuild strong relationships and partner with senior leaders across the Group to ensure timely and accurate reporting of progress towards key objectives are communicated effectively to internal customers and incorporate feedback into processes, workflows and service delivery, where appropriate.About youProficient in a broad range of accounting principles and operational processes across multiple disciplines including financial and performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business analysis and supportExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organisationExcellent time management skills and able to prioritiseStrong commitment to the provision of quality internal and external client service, striving to meet and exceed expectations and requirements of all stakeholdersExcellent analytic and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detailTeam player that is adaptable and able to lead the team through change and transformation projectsDegree in accounting with CPA/CA qualification with over 6 years of relevant experience in a similar roleAdvanced excel skills and experience with large ERP systems, previous knowledge of Inprotech and/or Microsoft D365 (finance systems) an advantageProfessional services industry experience, an advantageExperience of reporting into a corporate finance team, business transformation and project management skills, an advantage What’s in it for you?Being part of a dynamic and inclusive team, where you will gain excellent experience and structured career development.
