The Finance Manager will oversee the organization's financial operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Daily responsibilities include managing budgets, preparing financial reports, overseeing cash flow, analyzing financial performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The role also involves collaborating with other departments to ensure financial alignment with the organization’s goals and strategies.QualificationsStrong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skillsExpertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory complianceProficiency in financial software and tools, including spreadsheets and accounting systemsLeadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor finance teamsAttention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaborationBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantageExperience in financial management roles; prior experience in the sports or recreational industry is a plusResponsibilitiesFinancial planning and analysis: Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; analyze costs, pricing, and sales to identify trends and provide strategic insights.Financial operations: Oversee daily accounting functions, such as accounts payable and receivable; manage cash flow and ensure financial stability.Reporting and compliance: Prepare financial reports, statements, and business activity reports; ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.Risk management: Conduct risk assessments, develop strategies to reduce costs, and ensure the company is protected from financial risks.Team leadership: Manage and lead the finance team, set goals for the department, and oversee the creation of financial frameworks.Strategic support: Advise senior management on financial decisions, investment opportunities, and strategic projects.
