In this high-impact and high-visibility role, you will play a key role in executing FP&A activities and providing support to the overall finance and commercial organizations with the development of tools, reports and analyses. FP&A activities include supporting the overall monthly Financial Estimate/ Internal Business Planning process (PEAK), month / quarter end close reviews, identifying variances vs the annual plan, and annual budget process (SP). The role will also support and influence commercial business partners by providing insights and recommendations on optimizing financial results.LACDM Cluster is one of our biggest and fastest growing distributor clusters. It sells multiple General Mills brands across 35+ markets (Puerto Rico, the Caribbean SA, etc) . It will provide differential leadership experience in navigating complexities across multiple emerging markets, channels, and external/internal partners. Lastly, Mexico (cluster) is one of our critical markets in our Accelerate vision and will deliver strong double digit profitable growth in the next years.Key ResponsibilitiesAnchoring FP&A Processes:Key accountability of anchoring the overall financial forecasting & reporting (internal LACDM & Mexico/ External to GEMs), LACDM & Mexico LT. This includes the overall PEAK cycle, MBRs, S&Ops, etc.Identify and communicate key drivers and value-adding insights of monthly/ quarterly results to the Finance function and the commercial teams. Execute AOCs (Analysis Of Change) to investigate variances in the financial plan. Work closely across different functions to come up with recommendations and action plans to deliver sustained strong results against goals. Ensure the integrity of the Financial Plan by validating that our Financial Forecasting Tools (BPC) are utilizing the correct financial assumptions including: Customer selling prices, COGs standard assumptions, investment levels, etc. Make sure that the assumptions are complete and that all material impacts to the P&L are considered.Contribute to the Integrated Reconciliation process by identifying and tracking the status of Risks and Opportunities. Working closely across functions to drive ownership of action plan execution. Support the Month end process by executing reconciliations against our budgets.Evaluate the financial impact related to a new product introduction and provide direction on the feasibility and financial sustainability of new launchesCollaborate with multifunctional teams (Mktg, Sales, Supply Chain) and provide insights and influence in all business decisions taken to ensure we are maximizing shareholder value. Strategic & process improvement initiatives Support the SRM/ HMM processes by helping identify potential opportunities and help quantify the financial benefit.Maintain the regular flow of business by ensuring that the organization is following current internal processes and help formalize and define new, simplified processes where needed.Responsible for process improvement and the overall PEAK cycle.Ensure that controllership activities/ processes are followed by the commercial teams. Be engaged and aware of any major developments or activities that may pose a risk from a controllership or business standpoint.Education And ExperienceBachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related Business field, preferred.7+ years of relevant finance experiencePreferred Experience in CPG (or related) industry in a similar role.Ecific Job Experience Or Skills NeededProficient in Excel based tools and reportsExpertise in navigating ERP systems (SAP)Can prioritize, simplify and deliver tasks amidst complexitiesSkill in combining good understanding of business processes, consumers, customers and financial information to provide value-adding insights and recommendationsCan effectively work with remote teamsThis role will require travel (~25%)Company OverviewWe exist to make food the world loves.
