The fund typically targets investments between €20 million and €100 million across the UK and continental Europe, focusing primarily on the residential and industrial sectors.Role SummaryThe Finance Manager is a key member of the European Real Estate finance team, responsible for managing financial operations across multiple jurisdictions and entities.Reporting to the Finance Director, this role requires expertise in real estate finance, tax compliance, and cross-border coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, efficient cash management, and strategic financial oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Reporting· Oversee financial operations for UK and European real estate investments across multiple funds· Prepare quarterly reporting for consolidated fund accounts· Project manage multiple simultaneous audit processes across the group· Coordinate with audit firms in various jurisdictions to ensure timely completion· Address complex accounting treatments and technical financial statement mattersTax and Corporate Compliance· Manage the tax compliance process across all jurisdictions, review of service provider reports/returns including CIT/CT, VAT (UK and Europe), WHT, CIS· Coordinating timely tax payments including payments on account· Manage regular and ad-hoc board meetings with the Directors, including preparation of quarterly financial updates· Coordinate statutory filings and submissions across multiple territories assisted by local external administrators· Manage director appointments and corporate governance matters· Oversee KYC processes for banks, administrators, and other stakeholdersTransactions· Work closely with the Finance Director on acquisitions and disposals· Support establishment of new investment and financing structures, including drafting/reviewing shareholder loan agreements and board minutes· Managing tax registrations and filings for new entities and acquisitions/disposals· Drafting funds flows and investment committee memo structure summaries· Coordinate entity liquidations and corporate restructuring with legal and tax professionalsTreasury Management· Assist in managing funding requirements for development assets· Execute tax-efficient cash distributions following asset realisations· Manage payments to suppliers and external lenders, assisted by local external administrators· Assist with lender covenant compliance analysis and reportingService Provider Management· Manage relationships with external accountants and corporate service providers across multiple jurisdictions· Negotiate fees and service level agreements with suppliers· Monitor performance and drive cost optimisation across service provider network· Coordinate work across distributed teams to ensure quality and efficiencyQualifications & SkillsWe are looking for a confident and driven team player who is willing to contribute to a wide range of tasks and responsibilities in a small team. The successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes:· Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 2 to 3 years’ post-qualification experience working in a real estate finance function· Experience of preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting· Experience of coordination and review of tax compliance requirements in the UK and Europe· Experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and reviewing the work of service providers in the UK and Europe· Outstanding written and oral communication and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities· Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with proficiency in financial modellingWhat we offer· Competitive base salary· Annual discretionary bonus· Healthcare plan· Pension plan with 6% company matching contributions· Life, AD&D and Long Term Disability insurance
