Finance Manager

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our financial management and help shape the future of our finance function.Role Overview:The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective cash flow management across the business. This is a key role that combines financial control with commercial insight, managing one offshore finance assistant and working closely with the Directors and wider team to support decision-making and drive business growth.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations and reporting.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of management accounts.Manage profit and loss reporting and provide insightful analysis to support business performance.Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.Manage one offshore finance assistant, providing support, structure, and oversight.Lead cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting to support business planning and investment.Review and approve monthly payroll submissions.Review and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.Conduct VAT and customs duty research to support OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment) projects and ensure compliance with import regulations.Manage budgets and project costings for operational service and equipment projects.Maintain oversight of stock pricing, perform margin analysis, and support pricing strategy.Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis and carry out ad-hoc finance duties to support Directors and business initiatives.Build and maintain strong working relationships with Directors, operational teams, and external partners.Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.Skills and Experience:Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role within a growing business.Strong understanding of Xero accounting software (desirable).Experience in events, projects, or luxury sectors (desirable).Strong analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.Proactive, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to grow a finance team and contribute to a scaling organisation.Why Join Maison Margaux:This is a fantastic opportunity to join a creative, fast-paced business where you can make a real impact.
