Job Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and sound financial management in compliance with statutory and company requirements. This role involves leading the finance team, analyzing financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and optimizing the company’s financial performance.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning and AnalysisPrepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in coordination with department heads.Monitor and interpret financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives.Accounting and ReportingOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.Maintain compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal policies.Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.Cash Flow and Treasury ManagementManage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.Oversee investment and financing activities, including debt management and working capital optimization.Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal control systems.Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Support management in ensuring adherence to corporate governance requirements.Team LeadershipSupervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is highly desirable.Minimum 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.High level of integrity and attention to detail.
