Interim Finance ManagerAbout the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (interim) to take full ownership of the finance function — from structure and control to strategy and growth. You will combine both financial control (including accounting and reporting) and business control, acting as a key strategic partner to the management team and private equity investors.This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll play a crucial role in building a scalable financial foundation and supporting future expansion.Your Initial FocusIn the first phase, you’ll take the lead on:Developing clear financial reporting structures and management dashboardsSetting up profit & loss visibility by country and e-commerce channelManaging cash flow and producing accurate forecastsAnalysing and driving contribution margin performance (CM2)Optimising logistics and marketing expendituresPreparing budgets, scenario analyses, and KPI reporting frameworksOver time, the finance department will grow further. After several months, you’ll hand over the role to a permanent successor, leaving behind a strong and professionalised finance operation.A key focus this year is the implementation of AFAS as the core financial system — you’ll play an important part in configuring and using this tool effectively for reporting and performance monitoring.Your BackgroundMinimum of 5 years’ relevant finance experience, ideally within an e-commerce or retail environmentProven track record in scale-up or private equity-backed businessesSolid understanding of both business control (analysis, forecasting, decision support) and financial control (accounting, reporting, compliance)Familiarity with AFAS and/or Shopify is a strong advantageExperienced in P&L optimisation and contribution margin managementComfortable working with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and advanced ExcelHighly analytical, pragmatic, and results-drivenSkilled in setting up and improving financial processes, controls, and scalable structuresHands-on mindset — equally comfortable diving into the numbers as you are discussing strategyWhat they OfferAn opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
