Summary:We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join The Happy Pear’s finance team. This role will be instrumental in driving the financial performance of the business by ensuring rigorous financial reporting, conducting in-depth product margin analysis, and providing key financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate management accounts, conducting insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.Working closely with both commercial and operational teams, this role is pivotal in maintaining a strong financial control environment while also contributing to the company’s strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of financial expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, accessible manner to non-financial stakeholders.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, purpose-driven company, where you can make a tangible impact on our financial health and strategic growth, helping us to inspire more people to eat well, feel good, and live better.  Principal Duties and Responsibilities:  Financial Reportingo   Prepare and present accurate and timely management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements).o   Compile detailed and insightful board packs, ensuring clarity in financial narratives for senior management and stakeholders.o   Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with company standards and timelines.Product Margin Analysis:o   Conduct detailed product margin analysis, identifying and reporting on profitability by product, service, or segment.o   Work with operations and sales teams to track and assess cost of goods sold (COGS) product pricing strategieso   Provide insights and recommendations for margin improvement and efficiency.Financial Analysis & Decision Support:o   Provide ongoing financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, variance analysis, and ROI assessments.o   Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.o   Support commercial and operational teams with ad hoc financial modelling and scenario analysis.o   Collaborate with external strategic financial advisors to implement long-term financial strategies and improve business performance.o   Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs through the maintenance of cash flow forecasts to identify potential risks or shortfalls and recommending actions to address them.General Duties:o   Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.o   Manage the monthly close process, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.o   Assist with tax compliance, liaising with external auditors and advisors as needed.o   Maintain strong financial controls and risk management practices to protect company assets.  Selection Criteria: Selection criteria outline the qualifications, skills, knowledge and/or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post. Applications will be assessed based on how well candidates satisfy these criteria. Essential: o   Fully qualified accountant with 2+ years PQEo   Prior experience in working in a Finance function.o   Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.o   Ability to work in the operational detail and move to the strategic space when required.o   Strong business acumen and business partnering skills.o   Must be highly organised and deadline sensitive.o   Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.o   Ability to maintain a strong and robust control environment.  Desirable:  o   Previous Industry experience.o   Experience working in a Finance Manager or equivalent role.o   Experience in using Xero or similar cloud-based finance systems.  *All candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.*The Happy Pear is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
