The Organisation The YMCA (‘the Y’) is the largest youth movement in the world, reaching 65 million people in over 120 countries, in every continent. In Australia, our 12 member associations span 680+ communities Australia wide, through the dedication of our 11,500+ staff and volunteers.Across our federated setting, the Y provides a broad range of services that support children and young people across the course of their lives – from childcare, outside school care and youth development programs, to disability services, access schools, meaningful career pathways and community recreation services. We are a small team at Y Australia with important work to do, in enabling and amplifying the power of our federation; building our collective capability; and leading strategy, public policy, engagement, advocacy and other national functions in support of the Y in Australia.How we work together is important to us. The Finance Manager will report to the General Manager of Business Service and be responsible for the following responsibilities: Oversee finance, IT, cyber security, and asset management across Y Australia, Y Safeguarding, and Y Careers.Lead the charge in building smart systems that make our organisation more connected, secure, and sustainable.Manage budgets, forecasts, and audits while supporting our national strategy and helping our teams make informed, purposeful decisions.Look after leases, assets, and technology infrastructure that keep the Y running smoothly.Collaborate closely with a dedicated team and support a national network that genuinely makes a difference.As a member of a small team this will be a strategic and hands on role. We are looking for an all-rounder who is happy to support there team as needed. Qualifications and Experience At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance and or Business Management/commerce.Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Finance. with years of experience in IT systems.High quality report writing, development of frameworks and ability to present to Board & Committees.Demonstrated confidence in their ability to engage, communicate and present for a variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated experience with various communication modes, including Microsoft office suite of programs.Reporting to the General Manager - Business Services you will be part of a team that strives to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Y Australia team, our member Y Associations, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.
