World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL services its loan portfolio and loan portfolios for third parties, specializing in the management of non-performing loan pools and REO.WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.This is a remote Contract/Consultant position.Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. May require availability outside standard working hours occasionally.The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language.Resumes must be submitted in English. Lead and manage accounting department staff to ensure month end closing within 10 business days in accordance with US GAAP standards Experience in variance analysis and reporting to the Management Team Ability to analyze the cost categories and develop the ledger to enrich the analysis Experience in consolidated financial reporting, intra group company transactions In collaboration with the Financial Controller and CFO, establish financial and reporting standards on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization regarding goals, budgets and forecasts Lead Tax team for tax filing and managing tax advisor relationship, 1099 and K1 knowledge is preferred Develop, implement all applicable accounting policies, procedures, processes and internal controls Familiarity with accrual accounting, deferred costs (FAS91, FASB 65 and FASB17 ) Key user for automatization project from FI side Ability to follow up daily business from operations system and ensure operation flows feeds and corresponds accounting data Other projects and duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; master's degree preferred. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing, with a proven track record in financial management and supervision Extensive experience in both audit finance and accounting functions Curios about business and operational management Sensitive to time and team management by efficient use of the all sources (people, time in order to get the outcome) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) is required Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and Python is preferred but not mandatory Microsoft Teams, other online tracking and task follow up platforms' knowledge is advantageous Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is a must, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams Exceptional attention to detail with time-management skills Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new industry trends and technologies Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and Python is preferred but not mandatory
