Join FAIR Consulting Group as our Finance & Operations Manager, where strategy meets execution.In this key role, you’ll be reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with Finance, IT & Operations, Workforce, HR and the Senior Leadership team to ensure business performance through financial data and insights while managing day-to-day operations and driving process improvements that support growth and efficiency.A collaborative team, including a Finance Associate, Pakistan Operations Manager & IT Specialist, will support you, and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact across the business, from streamlining financial reporting to solving operational challenges.The right candidate will be comfortable with the operational elements of the role, including reviewing and preparing contracts, as well as leading our internal IT operations and driving the company toward operational excellence.If you’re a proactive self-starter with end-to-end accounting experience and a passion for operational efficiency through continuous improvement, this is your chance to help shape the future of a fast-growing consulting firm. About the roleFinanceManage the company's day-to-day financial operations, including working capital and P&LDeliver month-end reporting across the business and projects on revenue, profitability and margins, including variance analysis and key commentary on financial performance analysis and budget recommendationsReview and authorise all Customer invoices aligned to SOWS/POs, timesheet data and any customer-specific requirements, which are all prepared by the Finance AssociateReview and authorise financial transactions across Australia & Pakistan, which are prepared by the Finance Associate or Pakistan Operations Manager, including accruals/journals, bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable & receivable, along with the lodgement of Superannuation, Payroll Tax, IAS & BASContinuously evaluate the financial performance of the business by analysing trends, identifying potential risks or opportunities, and adjusting forecasts as needed to ensure smooth financial operationsAnticipate challenges and implement strategies to optimise cash flow, and provide projectionsWork closely with the HR and Recruitment Manager on hiring which is financially aligned to business growth, capacity plans and pipeline through forecasting and financial modellingWork closely with the Workforce Manager to understand project financials, including rates and profitability, to ensure overall business performanceOperationsReview customer and supplier NDAs, MSAs and contracts to identify commercial risks and prepare a summary of terms to be discussed and negotiated with an understanding FAIR's obligations NDAs - Pre-salesExecute contracts, ensure compliance, and deliver excellent service throughout the client lifecycleWork with the IT Specialist to respond to vendor setup & IT security requestsIdentify and resolve operational bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet business goalsCoordinate activities that affect operational decisions and business requirementsManage business insurances, subscriptions, and IT expenditure aligned with requirementsManage day-to-day operations, overseeing workflows to ensure efficiency, productivity, and the smooth execution of business activitiesReview and improve systems, processes, and documentation across the businessAbout you:5+ years in a finance, accounting, or operations role, in an IT Consulting firmProficient with Xero, Google Sheets / Excel, BAS, payroll, accounts, and cash flow managementProven experience with financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting and forecastingHands-on experience streamlining processes & implementing improvementsStrong leadership that can drive results and process improvement through othersStrong analytical skills with the capability to translate numbers into business decisionsOnly Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.Our Culture:What’s most important at FAIR?We live and breathe our core values of honesty, integrity, transparency and loyaltyWhat drives us? Our passion for IT innovation and delivering quality customer outcomesHow do we operate?We’re collaborative, proactive and supportiveWhat do we look for?Ambition and drive in outstanding individuals who have chosen their professions out of interest and joy before anything elseIf this resonates with you, we should be talking!
