About the Role: This role is Financial Accountant/Finance Partner role within our Wellington based Group Accounting team who, together with the usual day to day and month-end tasks, are responsible for Spark’s external reporting, treasury accounting, auditor liaison, setting of Group Accounting policies and advising the business on the financial reporting impact of the cool and varied stuff they want to do. We are on the hunt for a high performer with strong financial accounting skills and good commercial acumen. Day to day you will be involved in: As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key member of the team, working across several different areas, including; assisting with month end, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and other external reporting, lease accounting, treasury accounting, technical accounting support, auditor liaison, supporting process improvement initiatives, and various other tasks to ensure the Group Accounting team provides accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholders. You won’t necessarily be doing the same things month after month so need to be keen to learn and adapt! What experience you'll bring?
