Finance Operations Lead – Systems-Focused, Tech-Savvy RoleAre you a finance professional with a knack for systems, automation, and process optimization?Influx is seeking a Finance Operations Lead to:Streamline finance workflows,Improve reporting accuracy, andLead the evolution of our financial systems.As Finance Operations Lead, you’ll sit at the intersection of finance and technology—designing smarter systems, reducing manual work, and driving process excellence.You should be comfortable working with ERP systems and excited by automation tools and AI-driven solutions to boost efficiency.You’ll collaborate closely with our Financial Controller, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure our finance operations are scalable, efficient, and built for growth.Key Responsibilities:🎯 Finance Systems & Process OptimizationOwn and enhance our in-house financial systems, working closely with Engineering to identify improvements and implement solutions.Reduce spreadsheet dependency and manual admin through smart process design and automation.Utilize advanced Google Sheets, formulas, and Apps Script—or AI tools like ChatGPT—to optimize workflows and eliminate repetitive tasks.Troubleshoot system issues and build clear process maps, guides, and documentation for the broader team.🎯 Finance Operations SupportAssist with daily accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, payroll support, and expense tracking.Ensure compliance and accuracy across financial reporting and internal controls.Prepare insights and financial reports that support strategic decisions and business performance.🎯 Projects & Ad Hoc TasksSupport cross-functional initiatives and finance-driven projects.Deliver assignments from senior management, including reporting for new launches and process reviews.Provide reliable backup support during team absences.What We’re Looking For:3–8 years in finance operations, reporting, systems management, or process improvementTech Skills: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, macros, Apps Script), ERP systems, and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude.ai) for automationProcess Optimization: Proven ability to improve workflows and lead cross-functional changeAnalytical: Skilled in financial analysis and reporting with actionable insightsCommunication: Strong written/verbal skills; experienced in guides, how-tos, and process documentationDetail-Oriented & Flexible: Organized, accurate, and adaptable to shifting priorities and ad hoc projectsDesired Qualities:Problem Solver: Proactively identifies inefficiencies and proposes process improvements.Systematizer: Strategically devises scalable solutions, weighing costs vs. benefits over ad hoc fixes.Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with tech and up to date on tools that boost productivity.Self-Motivated: Works independently, manages time well, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Influx?At Influx, we believe in building lean, powerful systems that scale.
