Learn more at www.circana.comWhat will you be doing?The Finance department within Circana has many responsibilities, ranging from ensuring we pay our suppliers, to workingcollaboratively with our commercial teams on new and existing contracts. The team help our commercial departments know ifthey are on track to hit the financial targets, but also ensure transparency by communicating regularly to the wide business ouroverall performance. From a Global perspective Finance is responsible for reporting results to Global as well as tracking theseresults against submitted budgets and forecasts.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Finance Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, ensuring compliance with accountingstandards and providing accurate financial information to support decision making. The ideal candidate will have a strongunderstanding of financial accounting principles and experience in a similar role. This role provides an opportunity to be part ofa dynamic Finance team and exciting business. The role will support both the South African entity as well as Netherlands.Further responsibilities include but are not limited to:Bank and Cash Reviewing of month-end reconciliations over bank, petty cash, credit card and fleet Performing weekly cash flow forecast for uploading to the Group Treasury Team Manage receipts and expenditure for optimal cash flowIntercompany Capturing intercompany entries Completing intercompany reconciliations and uploading balances into Group reporting system Manage intercompany receivables/payables Manage Excon requirements with banking partnersMonth-end including Reporting Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations Complete meaningful monthly reporting with variance analysis (MTD, QTD, YTD) to budgets, forecasts and prior years Ensure all VAT and WHT submissions are compiled in line with legislation and manage all correspondence with SARS. Complete all Group Reporting requirements as needed by International and US Finance TeamsPayroll Assist the South Africa Controller with monthly checking and validation of payroll and the necessary journals, deferrals and charges associated. Support in the validation and maintenance of the Adaptive forecasting models driven by payroll adjustments and changeson a monthly basis. Submitting monthly PAYE submissions on e-filingCircana, Inc. and Circana Group, L.P. | Proprietary and confidentialGeneral Assist the South Africa Controller with monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting cycles and assist in the preparation ofvarious monthly financial statements. Assist the South Africa Controller in ensuring all financial policies and processes remain up to date and adequately documented in Internal Audit Policy IQ. Assist South Africa Controller with forecasting and budgeting. Assist South Africa Controller with finance training for finance team members and broader business training of financeconcepts. Ensuring compliance with taxation laws as per SARS as well as performing of tax calculations and submitting quarterly taxpacks to Group Assisting with ad-hoc requests Collaborate with external auditorsRequirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar Accounting Degree CA(SA)/CIMA or similar qualification would be advantageous 3+ years experience in financial accounting Knowledge of South African tax legislation, understanding of financial controls Experience with financial reporting software (Netsuite) would be advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced computer literacy skillsCircana BehaviorsAs well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviors sit at the core ofour organization.
