This is a pivotal role in transforming our Finance function during an exciting growth phase.You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where precision meets strategic thinking. Working closely with internal stakeholders and audit partners, you'll help establish strong financial control frameworks as we scale.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOwn month-end close procedures, ensuring journals, accruals and reconciliations are completed accurately and on timeMaintain the general ledger with accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standardsManage balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues promptlyPrepare financial statements, management reports, and budget variance analysisCoordinate audit schedules and liaise directly with auditorsDevelop budgets and financial forecasts aligned with business objectivesIdentify and implement process improvements to drive efficienciesSupport strategic projects and initiatives that drive business growthABOUT YOUBachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance4+ years accounting experience, preferably in mid-to-large retail organisationsSolid technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply accounting standardsAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting softwareStrong analytical skills with aptitude for interpreting complex dataExcellent communication skills - able to present financial information to non-financial stakeholdersProactive problem solver who identifies root causes and implements lasting solutionsTeam player who thrives in dynamic, transformational environmentsPERKS AND BENEFITSCompetitive salary packageProfessional education supportCareer progression within a growing organisationEnd-to-end accounting exposure in high-growth retail environmentSend your CV to: careers@mcmhouse.comAt MCM House, we're committed to diversity and inclusion.
