Our client is a global financial services firm with a strong presence in the capital markets and a long track record of innovation and growth. They are seeking a Compensation / Finance Analyst (Consultant) to support key accounting functions related to employee and broker compensation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to build experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly compensation-related journal entries and reconciliations in the general ledger.Analyze P&L and balance sheet activity related to compensation across multiple business units.Prepare and adjust monthly bonus accruals aligned with performance forecasts.Generate internal reporting, including desk-level and individual performance analytics.Calculate and review performance-based compensation for senior management.Partner with teams across regions (U.S., Europe, and Asia) to ensure consistency in reporting.Provide audit support and maintain proper documentation for all compensation entries.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive compensation data.Drive process improvements and integrate small-scale tech solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Preferred Background1–3 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet concepts.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and charting).Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working under tight deadlines.Experience with Oracle General Ledger or Essbase a plus.Prior financial services experience preferred but not required.
