Financial Analyst

Brandt is currently looking for a Financial Analyst in our Regina location.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze divisional & departmental monthly/annual financial statements while striving to ensure their accuracy and completion on a timely basis.Provide operational level analysis on monthly financials and trends and highlight the areas for improvementReconcile GL accounts and prepare month end journal entries with supporting documentationAbility to analyze large data into meaningful conclusions with recommendations.Analyze profit and loss variances to prior performance and budgets.Works with different divisions for intercompany processing and reconciliationAssist/prepare working papers required for quarterly and annual reserves & allowancesAssist with the preparation of documentation required for the annual external auditProvide guidance and mentorship to junior staffProvide insight into various accounting requirements including CRA requirements.Provide advice and guidance on accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.Identify internal process gaps and provide recommendations for improvements Other tasks and responsibilities as they ariseAssist in continuous process improvement and ad-hoc projects
