Job Description

In this role, you will ensure the engineering organization has a holistic and accurate view of headcount, manage targets, proactively surface deviations to plan/targets, and help ensure we operate within budget/location allocation.This role includes working with and supporting the management and leadership teams across Consumer Group product development organizations. The successful candidate will have excellent business & finance acumen, the ability to pay attention to details, exceptional communication skills, the ability to drive process improvements, strong collaborator/team player, and comfortably operate in a fast-paced environment.Actively participate in annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly current estimate processes with cross-functional teams and engage business partners to deliver accurate and timely forecasts with risks & opportunities assessmentProactively identify emerging risks & opportunities on purchase order spend (contractors and licenses) to ensure no surprisesProvide explanations on the business drivers of the month-end variances for purchase order spendBuild contractor projections to be aligned with finance before finalization, partnering with Budget and Purchase Order ownersEngage in planning for the upcoming year's license spend, partnering with engineering leadersBuild and maintain financial models to monitor project performance and facilitate forecast discussionsPartner directly with Technology Budget Owners & Corporate Finance Analysts to drive financial and headcount planning/managementUnderstand financial actuals and compare to planned spend by Technology Budget OwnersLittle to no assistance required in presenting/communicating analytics and building presentationsQualifications:Ability to summarize financial results and present the analytical findings in a simple/digestible mannerStrong business and financial / accounting acumen with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of FP&A experience, a BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management is required.Capable of doing advanced-level modeling to provide complex analytics-based insights.Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis clearly, concisely, and deliver effective results, persuasive verbal and presentation skills to business leadersAbility to work effectively in a matrix organization, influencing technological teamsAdvanced knowledge of Qliksense, Excel, or Google Sheets for analytics purposes; Google Docs, Google Slides, and PowerPoint for presentation purposesExperience working in Coupa and/or with purchasing softwarePrefer experiences working in medium to large-sized enterprise companies
