Financial Analyst

Location: Etobicoke, ON transitioning to Mississauga, ON by end of yearSchedule: In office, Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pmSalary: $80K - $100KCompany:Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support strategic financial planning, performance analysis, and cross-functional decision-making. This role plays a key part in guiding leadership with data-driven insights, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and strengthening financial processes across the organization.Description:The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering in-depth financial analysis and actionable commentary to support informed decision-making by key stakeholders. This role involves forecasting performance trends, collaborating across departments, and communicating insights clearly to senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, business partnership skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.● Lead the development of annual sales targets, including timeline management, collaboration with Sales leadership, and preparation of volume, revenue, and discretionary spend targets● Prepare and reconcile semi-annual and annual sales results, including incentive calculations and executive reporting packages● Support the corporate budgeting and forecasting cycle by building templates and assisting cross-functional stakeholders● Provide financial support for business cases (RFPs, line reviews, special projects), including framework development, analysis, recommendations, and post-mortem evaluation● Analyze raw material cost changes and monitor pricing impact on business performance● Deliver financial insights to support investment decisions, strategic initiatives, and operational optimization efforts● Conduct proactive ad-hoc analysis to identify cost savings, efficiency gains, and profitability improvements● Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and business partnersQualifications:● University degree in Finance or Accounting● Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis within sales, marketing, manufacturing, or distribution environments● Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills● Advanced Excel skills required; VBA and SQL an asset● Knowledge of PowerPoint and Access preferred● Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills● Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate complex findings clearly to varied audiences
