Financial Modeller – Music Industry (Major Label)Location: Hybrid – London-basedType: Freelance/ContractSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceWe are working with one of the major record labels on a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Financial Modeller. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of how record labels operate, particularly around royalties, and who is confident building financial models from scratch.The RoleYou’ll be responsible for developing detailed financial models to support business planning and strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include:Building out a business plan and full financial modelling framework (starting from scratch, likely in Excel)Creating detailed cash flow forecasts and revenue projectionsIntegrating royalty mechanics and deal structures into the financial modelsAdvising on commercial strategy using data-driven insightsWorking independently while collaborating with senior stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience in the music industry, ideally within a major labelDeep understanding of label operations, including revenue flows and royalty structuresProven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and business planningAbility to work autonomously and provide strategic financial insightAdvanced Excel skills and high attention to detailInterview ProcessOne-stage video interviewCompensationDay rate or salary depending on experienceIf you have music industry experience and the confidence to lead financial modelling projects independently, we would love to hear from you.
