Al Jazira Sports & Cultural Club is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions within the Finance Department.This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and effective internal controls across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRSLead month-end and year-end closing processesReview journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial schedulesEnsure consistency of accounting practices across divisionsMaintain strong internal financial controlsBudgeting, Forecasting & Performance ManagementLead annual budget preparation and rolling forecastsMonitor budget vs. actual performance and analyze variancesProvide financial insights on revenue performance, cost trends, and financial risksSupport management with financial modeling and scenario analysisCompliance & AuditAct as the primary liaison for internal and external auditorsEnsure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, and statutory requirementsCoordinate audit processes and address audit observationsSystems & ReportingOversee ERP and finance systemsDrive process automation and reporting improvementsSupport financial system enhancements and integrationsTeam LeadershipLead and develop the finance teamPromote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvementQualifications & ExperienceQualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or ACCA)Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial accounting and reportingExperience in government or large organizations preferredStrong IFRS knowledge; UAE VAT experience preferredERP system experienceCore CompetenciesStrong financial reporting and analytical capabilityAdvanced budgeting and forecasting skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage deadlines in a dynamic environmentStrong communication skills and professional integrity
