This role is essential for ensuring that our financial operations are aligned with our strategic goals and supports our vision for scaling and profitability.About The RoleThe Financial Controller will oversee our accounting functions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining financial records, and developing strategies that align with our corporate objectives. Your leadership will guide a team in delivering accurate financial data and insights that drive decision-making processes within the company.ResponsibilitiesManage payroll for all companies in the group - review, approve payroll reports, initiate payments in bank, ensure compliance obligations are metManage Accounts Payable - review and approve invoices, prepare payable for weekly review with the CEO and CFO, automate payments processingManage banking - assist with establishing best practices for cash management, manage bank reconciliations, maintain internal controls and prepare rolling cash forecastManage month end close within the agreed timelineManage the General ledger and ensure transactions are recorded in line with the agreed Accounts and P&L structureManage tax compliance and filings in collaboration with external tax consultantsManage intercompany transactions and assist with transfer pricing setup and updatesManage the preparation and review of monthly Balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare monthly consolidated accounts for the Group in SyftManage statutory audit for the company and ensure the company's accounts are audit readyAssist with the implementation of new software and tools for automation and optimization of accounting and finance processesRequirementsABOUT YOUAt least 2 years in a similar roleCA or CPA qualificationExtensive experience with payroll management and knowledge of payroll regulations is essentialKnowledge of tax regulations in Australia, Singapore, UK and the USA is desirableProven experience with process automation, systems implementation and successful process improvement initiativesExperience working in multinational companies is essentialExperience in SaaS or tech business environment is an advantageBenefitsYou will be part of a smart, friendly team and have additional benefits including:Flexible working 20 days annual leave + public holidays 1 day of birthday leave per year Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave All applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
