We are seeking a Financial Controller who will be directly reporting to the EMEA Controlling Center. A great opportunity to take that next step with your career.This is a hybrid role which will bring a greater exposure to working with a wide range of business areas and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience with best-in-class financial intelligence and a proven track record of success in supporting a rapidly growing business.This role includes accounting management, monthly closing of the accounting ledger, maintenance of internal controls, statutory audit support and take the ownership of the underlying legal entity’s balance sheet & P&L and related process improvements.Using your strong understanding of financial standards as well as company policies and other regulatory requirements, you will be responsible for:The monthly, quarterly and year-end close following the Company’s accounting policies and US GAAPDetailed analyses and understanding of business results in comparison to prior periodsEnsuring internal controls operated effectively as needed, including bringing about process improvements where necessaryCoordination with shared service and external consultants to ensure statutory financial statements and tax filing are properly completed and filed on timeStrong collaboration with other departments including Treasury, Internal Controls, GBS, 3rd party service providersAd hoc accounting and controlling related tasks/project as neededCoordination with external auditor to ensure group and statutory audit to complete on timeEnsuring the related tax filings are on timeRequired QualificationsBusiness School or equivalent university education with a major in Accounting or similar major6+ years’ experience in public accounting or industry with increasing responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of US GAAPSenior experience with Monthly/ Quarterly/ Year End -Entire closing and internal controls Experience with shared service modelsDeep understanding of revenue recognition/ complicated revenue transactionsHands-on experience in accounting/ following the regulations Good SOX / structure understanding for the SOX controls Managerial skills in matrix organization over complex outsourcesStrong working knowledge of SAPFluency in EnglishPreferred QualificationsCPAControllership experiencePublic accounting experienceQuick availability & highly motivatedBeing self-oriented, having an urgent sense of responsibility with a positive can- do attitude and a hands-on mindset to work independently and focused in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, structured and well organized and adaptableWe offerContract of employment Hybrid model of workInsight and Knowledge of cutting-edge technologiesVarious options for personal development (career paths, internal recruitment, training, assisting ad hoc projects etc.)Possibility to use foreign languages daily Teamworking and supportive atmosphereLife insurance, private medical care, Multisport card26 days of holiday regardless of seniorityMore About UsWe have 23 000+ great colleagues in 130+ countries around the world creating technologies of the future, together.Supportive company culture combined with internal training and technological facilities creates ideal conditions for professional development of each employee, meaningful and responsible work focused on the daily needs of our customers and, last but not least, opportunity to balance personal and professional life.Diebold Nixdorf is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
