Based in Yatala on the Gold Coast and with sites in the USA and Europe we are one of the largest fibreglass pool manufacturers & distributors in the world, exporting pools around the globe.About the roleWe are seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to join the management team, based at our Australasian Head Office in Yatala Gold Coast, supporting our operations across Australia and New Zealand. The role also has regular engagement with our finance and operational leaders based in the US and Europe to facilitate intercompany transactions and collaborate globally.You’ll take ownership of management accounting, budgeting & forecasting, fixed assets, stock control, payroll and finance systems. This is your chance to combine technical excellence with commercial insight — helping shape decisions that matter in supporting the strategic growth of the business.This role reports directly to the Chief Business Officer and will have the following key responsibilities:Hands on role delivering strong financial discipline and timely, insightful reporting.Monthly and annual reporting of financial results and analysis of operational trends and cost drivers with commentary. Coordination of monthly consolidations and annual external audit requirements.Annual budgeting process, periodic cashflow forecasting and associated monthly variance reporting.Maintain Fixed Asset register and associated depreciation schedules.Responsible for the payroll function with Assistant Accountant.Responsible for compliance obligations including accounting standards, BAS, taxes, regulatory reporting, superannuation and liaise with external accountants for financial statements and tax returns.Lead the regional administration of the business ERP & Payroll systems in collaboration with a broader global team for consistency & accuracy – setup of items, customers, vendors, BOMs, time & attendance and payroll functions.Maintain documentation updates with standard operating procedures.Collaborate with internal teams to maintain seamless financial operations.Responsibility for a small local finance team, including Assistant Accountant and Accounts Coordinator.The role will suit applicants with a friendly, customer focused attitude, who are organised, have strong attention to detail and will enjoy being involved with both a local management team and wider global finance team. They will have a strong sense of initiative and teamwork, and desire to seek improvements in current systems and processes.Requirements for the successful applicant:Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce. CPA/CA qualified, minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.Proven expertise in management reporting, variance analysis, GL posting, accruals, and reconciliations.Prior experience in payroll and time & attendance systems.Exposure to manufacturing or distribution operations desirable.Advanced skills in Excel, problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong, professional interpersonal skills, reliable, can-do attitude and superior communication skills.Ability to work autonomously and within a team.Experience working with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.Your ability to professionally manage priorities while maintaining accuracy makes you a valued team player.This is full-time salary position, and is a fantastic opportunity develop your career by joining an internationally recognised organisation experiencing strong growth.
