A leading European renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP), who have offices in 7 different countries and manage and a 15 GW pipeline of onshore renewable energy projects are looking for a financial controller to join their businessYou will be joiningteam and working with managers across 4 different countries. It is a European team, with members in UK, Romania, Italy and Germany.Key responsibilitiesSetting up finance for BelgiumImplementing and optimising financial controls, policies, and compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements.Working with the project team to ensure that capital expenditure is controlled and that risks are identified early.Developing and implementing new controls and processes to mitigate identified risks and support rapid growth.Managing finance operationsManaging financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.Managing day-to-day accounting operations - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger management, balance sheet control, and reconciliations for Belgian entities with the help of UK local finance teamsPreparation of statutory financial accounting and reporting for all operating entities / SPVs in the Belgium-managed group to ensure accurate and complete financial information.Treasury activities and monthly cash flow reporting of the group and payments.Assisting with the local statutory and Group audits, including ensuring audit readiness and timely responses to audit requestsManagement of VAT returns and fiscal knowledge of Belgian authorities.Oversee management of all project costs, OPEX and CAPEX, reconciliation of individual project costs, reporting spend against budget and providing explanations for variances.Working as part of the Finance team across EuropeWorking closely with the wider Finance team based in Italy, Germany, Romania, and the UK, to manage all group loans, interest calculation, and bookings.Assisting the Global Controllership team with developing and implementing robust internal controls, working with the local finance and change management teams to action business changes as necessary, with a particular emphasis on efficiency.Reviewing transfer pricing calculations and manage intercompany payables and receivables.Employee Benefits€5,000 – €6.250 monthly Gross salary20% bonusMeal vouchers and eco vouchersTravel to offices when required.Required Skills & ExperienceAt least 5 years experience performing these tasks either in a similar roleQualified Accountant / Relevant degree/Masters in Finance or AccountancyAdvanced Excel skills, used to managing and analysing large volumes of data, and building reports to suit a variety of audiences eg.
