As we continue to grow beyond the app into physical studios, apparel and product, we’re looking for a Financial Controller to lead our finance function and help shape the future of Kic.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, purpose-led environment, who’s equal parts strategic and hands-on, and wants to partner closely with leadership to bring big ideas to life through smart, scalable financial decisions.The RoleThe Financial Controller is responsible for the end-to-end management of Kic’s finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance across all business units. The role partners closely with the CEO and leadership team to deliver financial insight, improve operational efficiency, and ensure Kic’s continued growth is underpinned by sound financial management and governance.What you’ll be doingLead and be the sole member of the finance function across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and compliance.Build and maintain accurate financial models that guide investment, pricing and growth decisions.Deliver clear, consistent monthly reporting and insights for leadership and board use.Partner with the CEO and function leads to translate numbers into commercial stories and opportunities.Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, processes and systems (we use Xero).Manage cash flow, controls and governance across all business units.Support new initiatives, from studios to product launches, with commercial and financial input.Continuously improve processes and identify automation opportunities that make our systems smarter and faster.What you’ll bring5+ years’ experience in finance, accounting or financial management.Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.Proven experience in FMCG with experience using an inventory management system.Experience with subscriptions or a consumer facing bysiness is a bonus.Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and proficiency in Xero (or similar).A sharp analytical mind with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Strong communication skills that help simplify complex financials into clear and human language.A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a lean, collaborative team.Why Kic?You’ll join a small but mighty team working to redefine what wellness looks like in Australia and beyond.
