Financial Controller

We at MultiMind are now looking for a Financial Controller to join our client Unilever, one of the world´s leading consumer goods companies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with well-known brands and dedicated colleagues. This is a consultancy assignment starting in early December, lasting for 1 year with the possibility of extension.About the role:As a Financial Controller at Unilever, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements for your assigned legal entities – both for group and statutory reporting. You will act as the local expert within Financial Accounting and Controlling, working closely with colleagues in finance, supply chain, central hubs, and external service providers.You will report to the Nordic Accounting Manager and play a key role in maintaining strong financial integrity and compliance across Sweden and Finland.Main responsibilities:Manage month-end closing activities and monitor transactions handled by the outsourcing partner.Ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet, reporting, and reconciliations.Support quarterly group financial reporting in collaboration with central teams.Act as the main point of contact for external audits and prepare audit materials.Prepare annual reports and financial statements according to local GAAP.Implement IFRS standards in line with Group guidelines.Prepare and post judgmental financial journals.Provide support to business functions on accounting and process-related matters.Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure adherence to internal controls and process standards.Qualifications and experience:We are looking for someone who has:A relevant university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Several years of experience in financial accounting and controlling, preferably in an international environment.Experience preparing annual reports under local GAAP and a solid understanding of IFRS.Strong system skills, preferably with SAP or a similar ERP system.Experience with auditing (either as an auditor or auditee).Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Fluency in English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.You are analytical, structured, and process-oriented, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
