PaceZero Capital Partners Ltd. Job Description: Financial ControllerABOUT PACEZERO CAPITAL PARTNERS LTD. PaceZero Capital Partners Ltd. (“PaceZero”) is a leader in Impact-Focused Private Credit. Established in 2021 and headquartered in Toronto, Canada, PaceZero invests in established, high-growth businesses that generate identifiable economic value and have a positive social and environmental impact across three sector-focused verticals: agriculture & ecosystems, health & education, and energy transition. Building on the success of Fund I, PaceZero has closed its first round of Fund II, backed by top Canadian LPs and is looking to expand its team.   THE OPPORTUNITY  PaceZero is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated finance professional to oversee the firm’s financial reporting, fund accounting, and control processes. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, the Controller will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across both the management company and PaceZero’s investment funds, while supporting the firm’s continued growth.  This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of impact-focused private credit and contribute to building a strong financial foundation for a growing asset manager.  SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES  Deliver accurate and timely financial statements for both the management company and the firm’s investment funds, ensuring consistency with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements. Maintain financial systems, budgeting, and expense oversight for the firm’s management company and funds. Develop, track, and interpret performance metrics and KPIs, supporting management with variance analysis and commentary on results versus expectations. Identify areas for operational or financial performance improvement, recommending practical, technology-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Oversee and maintain quality control of non-deal-related third-party service providers, including accounting, tax, and administrative relationships. Support ongoing cash flow management, including monitoring fund and corporate liquidity positions, coordinating capital calls, and assisting with FX exposure tracking. Execute responsibilities with a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, and a “get-stuff-done” mindset that reflects PaceZero’s execution-driven culture.   ADDITIONAL / NICE-TO-HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee spot FX management, essential cash payments, tax filings (HST), and short-term AR/AP activities. Build, design, and refine FX and credit risk management systems to strengthen reporting and control governance. Bring a solutions-oriented mindset with openness to supporting fund structuring, new product development (e.g., evergreen vehicles), and regulatory or compliance initiatives.  QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years of financial services experience with a financial institution or private markets investment fund.  Strong understanding of private markets and fixed income fund structures, including capital commitments, waterfalls, and investor reporting. Proven experience overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, or NAV processes within a private markets or credit-focused environment. CPA designation preferred; CFA considered an asset. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and process orientation. Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with deep experience presenting to C-Level and Board level clients and stakeholders.  Collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to build and enhance financial infrastructure in a growing firm.  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Position Type: Full-Time (Part-Time would be considered for the right individual)  Work Location: Toronto  To learn more about PaceZero visit www.pacezero.com
