We are looking for more than just an accountant; we are looking for a leader who will ensure the financial health and integrity of one of our dynamic campuses.As the School Controller, you will be the financial cornerstone of the school, partnering directly with school leadership to drive operational excellence and empower our shared mission. You will go beyond compliance to become a true strategic partner in evaluating projects, managing resources, and shaping the future of our educational community.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be entrusted with the full spectrum of financial management for the school. Your key areas of impact will include:Financial Leadership & Compliance: Serve as the expert on financial controls, ensuring all operations adhere to approved policies, and that our financial statements are accurate, timely, and ready for executive review by the CFO and COO.Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated school-based Finance Team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Strategic Financial Stewardship: Partner with the School COO to evaluate new projects, prepare and monitor the school budget, and provide insightful analysis on financial performance.Regulatory Excellence: Take ownership of our compliance, ensuring the timely and accurate remittance of reports to government bodies (BIR, SEC) and preparing critical documentation for CHED, including tuition fee proposals.Operational Integrity: Oversee all core finance functions including treasury, purchasing, payroll, accounts receivable, and the disbursement process, ensuring every transaction is valid, complete, and accurate.Audit & Risk Management: Manage regular internal and external audits, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a seamless and successful process.QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, CPA certification is highly preferred.At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or controller capacity.Proven experience in managing the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, audit, and taxation.In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and BIR/SEC regulations. Experience with CHED requirements is a significant advantage.Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing team.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.High level of integrity and a commitment to implementing strong internal controls.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders.Willing to work in Metro Manila (Manila City and/or Quezon City)
