At EPI, you’ll help shape the financial backbone of a new European payment ecosystem.As a Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of accounting and reporting for our Belgian entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to greater financial transparency across Europe. We embrace a remote-first culture, with quarterly meetups to stay connected and collaborative.🐝 About The TeamYou’ll join a finance and accounting team of five people based across Europe. The team values collaboration, autonomy, and mutual support, combining strong technical expertise with a shared purpose, building reliable, transparent finance operations for EPI’s growth.đŸ’„ Your impactManage day-to-day accounting operations for EPI’s Belgian entities, including invoices, expenses, VAT, and reconciliationsPrepare monthly closings and financial statements under Belgian GAAP, ensuring accuracy and complianceSupport regulatory and statistical reporting to the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) and other authoritiesProduce management reporting packs and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activitiesCoordinate payroll accounting and ensure timely tax and VAT filingsCollaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain robust internal controlsIdentify and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency and reliability across finance operationsđŸ’» Technology stackMicrosoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar Excel / Google SheetsPower BI or similarđŸ•”đŸ»â€â™€ïž To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements+5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or financial control within Belgian entitiesProven track record in preparing financial statements under Belgian GAAP and managing month-end closingsPrevious experience in a consulting firm, ensuring strong technical foundations and rigor Exposure to the banking or payments industry, familiar with regulatory or NBB reportingStrong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication with stakeholdersFluent in English; Dutch is a strong plusShare our values of transparency, collaboration, and European purpose, and thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environmentđŸȘœ If this looks like you, the recruitment steps are:First call with one of our recruitersInterview with your Hiring managerAn interview with the Group CFOHopefully, an offer you can’t refuse ⛔ Turn back if
