You’ll oversee Stride’s financial operations, ensuring the business has the insight, control and systems needed to scale effectively.As Financial Controller, you’ll be hands on with financial control, reporting, and compliance, while acting as a trusted advisor to our Leadership team. You’ll collaborate closely with our Experience and Engagement teams to ensure programmes are delivered profitably, efficiently, and with purpose.If you’re commercially curious, operationally minded, and excited by the energy of a growing, purpose-led business, we’d love to hear from you.Your focus areasFinancial Operations & ControlsOversee the full financial cycle (AP/AR, payroll, cash) for maximum efficiency and liquidityMaintain robust internal controls and compliance (VAT, tax, audit)Manage external financial relationships (auditors, tax advisors, banks) and provide insights to leadershipFinancial Reporting & AnalysisLead the reporting calendar, delivering precise management accounts and actionable cash flow forecasts.Partner with our Finance Business Partner to analyse product performance and ROIEstablish financial KPIs to flag risks, uncover opportunities, and drive corrective actionsPlanning & BudgetingLead the company wide forecast and budgeting processSupport client budgeting and profitability analysisIdentify efficiencies and deliver commercial insights to optimise performanceLeadership & Systems DevelopmentDevelop a high-performing finance teamEnhance financial systems and processes to support scaleAct as a strategic partner to leadership in decision-making and planningWhat you’ll bringProven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance roleStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementExperience in growing organisationsAdvanced Google Sheets skills and familiarity with financial systems (Sage experience a plus)Commercial mindset with a track record of driving efficiencies and improving profitabilityProactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesExperience in or exposure to the technology sectorWhy this role mattersAs Stride grows, so does the scale and complexity of our finance function.
