Financial Director

About the Role:The Financial Director will play a critical leadership role in shaping the client company’s global financial strategy and operational excellence. This position oversees financial governance, working capital management, and strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth across multiple international markets in a fast-paced fintech environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead global financial operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.Drive effective working capital management, ensuring optimal cash flow, liquidity, and capital efficiency across regions.Develop and implement strategies to strengthen financial stability and support business expansion.Partner with executive leadership on investment decisions, capital structuring, and M&A initiatives.Optimise treasury operations and credit facilities to support global business activities.Provide financial insights to guide strategic initiatives and improve profitability.Build and lead high-performing regional finance teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.Manage relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and regulators to ensure strong financial governance.Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA) preferred.Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership, with at least 5 years in a director or equivalent senior management role.Strong background in working capital and treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.Deep understanding of financial planning, reporting, and analysis in multi-entity or cross-border operations.Proven experience in capital management, fundraising, or corporate finance within fintech, financial services, or technology sectors.Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-growth, and international environment.
