Established in 1998, Vox has become a major player in the telecoms market and is one of the largest black-owned telecommunications companies in South Africa.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Manager located in Midrand. The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, developing financial strategies, managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and conducting financial analysis. Key Performance Objectives:Proactively partner with the product managers to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve performance and ensure that change initiatives are implementedPrepare monthly, interim, and year-end reporting packs for product divisions and company, including financial performance and variance analyses of actuals against plans, forecasts, prior periods, etc.Develop financial models and non-financial models to assess viability of strategic initiatives and undertake scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.Continuous improvement of existing models built with refinement for changes in drivers.Analyze historical information to build financial models and to prepare budgets and forecast information based on financial, operational, and industry-related metricsDevelop benchmarks and key performance indicators that provide stakeholders with meaningful information to assist with decision-making.Develop dashboards and reporting tools for performance tracking.Provide ad hoc financial analysis, including modelling activities for commercial transactions, as required.Work with revenue assurance team to develop tools, recons, and models for analyzing month-end revenues to inform budget and forecasts as well as provide commercial teams with visibility into the profitability of the revenue streams.Analyze sales, margin, pricing, customer, and product data to inform commercial strategies.Prepare and Analyze 24 month – 10-year rolling forecasts of product budgets with triggers for identifying anomalies and prepare commentary and recommendations where deviations from plan are identified.Prepare and submit SARS returns, reconciliations and assist with any SARS auditsPrepare monthly consolidated accountsQualificationsCA(SA)5 years post articles experienceOperational finance experience is requiredExperience:Minimum 5 years post article relevant experience in a similar roleExperience in complex financial modelling for revenue and costs is essential.Sound knowledge of IFRS and taxation rulesAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in BI tools (Power BI) requiredExperience with ERP systems and familiarity with SQL or Power Query is beneficial.Exceptional business acumen with a passion for turning data into actionable insights.Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex information for stakeholders.Proactive, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.Previous telecommunications experience would be advantageous
