People who think differently and connect with those around them to co-create new opportunities and leave a meaningful legacy.Role & ResponsibilitiesFinancial guidance and support to African Business UnitsPlaying a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning processFinancial modelling, analysis and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders.Preparation and review of the monthly management reports Monthly reconciliation control of general ledger accountsMonthly review of Greater African Business unit’s performance and recommendation of profitability turnaround strategyFinancial review of project proposal for both RSA and Greater Africa business unitsInteraction with the in-country tax advisers and business consultants where necessary and external audit and tax audit support where necessary.Review and approval of bank transactions on various banking platforms with major banks in both RSA and Greater Africa business unitsMaking sure monthly tax returns (VAT, WHT, Employee tax) are reviewed, submitted and payments made on time.Minimum RequirementsPreferred candidate must have a minimum of a BCom Accounting degree or similar qualification with a minimum of 6 years relevant working experience.Management of finance staff Must have financial software skills and be able to implement appropriate financial processes and proceduresMust be prepared to travel if necessaryUnderstanding of Africa treasury policies (sending and repatriating money to and from RSA between Great Africa business units)Understanding of direct and indirect taxes and levies’ laws and regulations (WHT, VAT, Employee tax, GST etc) in the Greater African business unitsStatutory reporting requirements of different business units in Greater Africa / understanding of transfer pricing rules between RSA and other Greater Africa business units.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
