Job Description

Head of Finance | Private Equity, International Education. Renumeration: CHF 90 – 130k + 20% bonus. (Dependent on experience). Location | Western Switzerland. Full time, permanent position. Office 4x days per week. KE13547The Opportunity: A high-growth, Private Equity-backed international education and multi-asset business, headquartered in Western Switzerland, is seeking a commercially minded and technically astute Head of Finance to lead its regional finance function. With revenues of €25 million and €10 million EBITDA, the business is entering a new phase of growth, both organically and via acquisition, and plays a critical role within a wider UK-headquartered group delivering £1 billion turnover and £350 million EBITDA.

This role offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of a country-level finance function within a global group, while working in close partnership with an experienced Private Equity CFO and senior stakeholders across Switzerland and Europe. The Role: As Head of Finance, this individual will be fully responsible for the end-to-end finance function in Switzerland and parts of the broader European region. This includes leading all financial reporting, controls, FP&A, and commercial finance activity — with a strong focus on professionalising finance, building robust systems, policies, and KPIs, and enabling data-driven commercial decision-making.

This role also offers the opportunity to play a hands-on role in M&A execution and, critically, integration, acting as a key partner in embedding financial discipline, visibility, and strategic support across the newly evolving business structure. Key Responsibilities: Lead all regional finance activity, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and controlBuild and enhance FP&A capability, commercial analysis, and data-led insights to support growth and operational performancePartner with country and regional stakeholders across education, operations, commercial, and marketingOwn the integration of acquisitions and play a central role in supporting buy-and-build executionDrive the professionalisation of finance:

develop policies, systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure fit for scaleRepresent the region in group-level reporting and planning activity, working closely with the Private Equity CFOInstil a culture of financial accountability, transparency, and continuous improvementThe Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (e. g. ACA, ACCA, CPA) with a strong technical foundation, excellent commercial acumen, and experience operating in fast-moving, high-change environments. Key Requirements:

Strong technical finance background, ideally trained in Audit/PracticeExperience in an international environment and cross-border stakeholder managementProven track record in scale-up, transformation, or high-growth settings – ideally “reset” or build-from-scratch experienceExperience in Private Equity-backed or highly commercial businesses is highly advantageousConfidence and capability to influence senior stakeholders, lead change, and build a fit-for-purpose finance functionExcellent communication, analytical, and leadership skillsFluent in English and French is a must.
