Elusav Recruitment have a Fire Protection Design Engineer opportunity with one of the most reputable Engineering companies in Europe, currently working on a large scale Semiconductor project in Dresden, Germany. The engineer will form part of an established team of Fire Protection professionals, and be based on site, with responsibility managing the design, and supporting installations of large Fire protection/Sprinkler packages from concept through to handover on the project. Responsibilities: Design and layout of fire protection systems to meet LPC/NFPA/FM/VdS criteria.Responsible for all aspects of sprinkler design, including hydraulic calculations, shop drawing preparation, 3D model co-ordination with other services. Preparation of project deliverables to include 2d fire classification blockplans and schematics. Review and production of detailed fire protection Schematics such as Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foam enhanced Fire Protection, Gas Protection, Firewater Mist Protection, Inert Gas Protection & Special Hazard Fire Protection.Liaise and co-ordinate with members of the client's team. Creation of installation/construction & fabrication drawings. Attend technical / project meetings in person and via teams calls. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for issue of tenders and construction. Close out of all project items.Review any lessons learned. Skills with AutoCAD, Revit and 3D related hydraulic software.Should be able to work with other disciplines and work collaboratively with other designers, engineers and architects and clients to convert information into layout designs, drawings and models using REVIT and AutoCAD. Decipher information received from various formats (sketches, BIM Execution Plans, Architectural drawings).Demonstrate strong understanding and experience in delivering LOD 200 to 400 BIM model using BIM Software.Requirements: Proficient at communication & written English. Ability to travel. Full EU driving license required. Competent working knowledge of applicable standards Ability to read and effectively interpret architectural/engineering plans, schematics, design drawings, etc. Must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Experience in working on European projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, 2D AutoCAD and Revit MEP design software such as AutoSPRINK or similar software with a minimum of four years of experience modelling these systems. Ability to extract BOQs and fabrication drawings from Revit. Experience in working on large commercial fire protection systems.Management of Project Schedule.
