John Hunter Engineering provides essential planned and reactive maintenance across all buildings on the John Hunter Hospital campus. We are now seeking a passionate and skilled Fire Safety Officer to support fire safety compliance, deliver staff training, and contribute to the protection of patients, visitors, and staff across this major health precinct.About The RoleIn this vital role, the Fire Safety Officer will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of fire safety across the campus. You will work closely with the Fire Safety Manager and Engineering leadership, and collaborate with facility managers, emergency services, and external contractors.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDelivering fire safety training and education programs to hospital staffAssisting with fire safety compliance, including annual fire safety statementsConducting inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsResponding to fire alarms and supporting emergency proceduresAdministering passive fire management systems and documentationSupporting continuous improvement in fire safety across HNELHD buildings on siteAbout YouYou are a fire safety professional with strong communication skills and a passion for education and compliance.
