Senior Scientist, Biology

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Scientist in Biology to join our growing Biology team. This individual will play a key role in driving efforts to understand the mechanistic biology of oncology targets and contribute to program leadership. The Sr. Scientist will conceive, design, plan, and execute in vitro studies to understand mechanisms of action (MOA), identify and validate pharmacodynamic (PD) / predictive biomarkers for novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

This role also involves supporting further development of novel ADCs by exploring different disease indications and evaluating combination approaches in oncology and other areas of unmet medical need. This is a lab-based, on-site position requiring strong hands-on expertise and collaboration across functional teams. Title and compensation package will be based on experience and relevant skills. Responsibilities:

Drive and execute on the design, development, and optimization of in vitro biochemical and cellular assays to evaluate novel payloads, antibodies, and ADCs (antibody drug conjugates) Lead and contribute to the design and execution of in vitro studies for target validation and MOAEstablish robust in-house capabilities to perform in vitro experiments with high throughput and synergy analysisContribute to the understanding of program biology and participate in new target recommendationsLeverage cell surface target antigen biology to guide therapeutic design and identify appropriate preclinical models Collaborate cross-functionally with Protein Sciences and Chemistry teams to deliver comprehensive data packages for decision-making according to timelinesAnalyze, interpret and present key datasets/findings at research meetings.

Actively participate in department and project meetings, contributing scientific insight Design and manage CRO studies where applicable to support internal effortsRequirements and Experience: Ph. D.

with a degree in cancer biology, cell or molecular biology or closely related field >6 years of industry or equivalent experience in cellular assays and drug development research Strong background in cancer biology and ADCs (antibody drug conjugates) including managing experiments at CROsStrong hands-on experience in designing and executing in vitro experiments to validate targets and treatment ideas using ADCs, mAbs, degraders or small moleculesExpertise in biomarker identification/validation and cell signaling work preferredExperience with flow cytometry, cell culture, antigen internalization assay, cell viability, combination synergy assay, and toxicity assays, Western blot analysis, ELISA, cell-based fluorescence and chemiluminescence assays, and cell line engineeringProven capabilities in maintenance of cell line health and longevityExperience with handling animal and human tissuesHighly organized, diligent, and quality focused with excellent computer and documentation skillsAbility to analyze, interpret, and present data in a clear manner.

Experience with translational methods and analyses including IHC, transcriptomics, genomics and proteomics a plusDemonstrated success in collaborative planning and execution as a project team leaderCreativity and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to excel in a highly collaborative environmentComfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
