Position Title: Assistant Fish Farm Manager - Grow out Section.Company: AquaOrg Technologies Limited
Position Summary• Assist in managing daily fish farming operations, focusing on the grow-out stage. • Ensuring optimal fish growth performance, water quality, feed efficiency, and overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities
● Supervise daily feeding, grading, and harvesting activities.
● Monitor growth performance, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and survival rate.
● Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pond or tank management.
● Conduct regular water quality checks (pH, temperature, DO, ammonia, etc.).
● Maintain a stable and healthy aquatic environment for optimal fish growth.
● Monitor feed consumption and maintain accurate feed records.
● Manage feed and chemical inventory efficiently to prevent shortages or wastage.
● Enforce strict farm hygiene and biosecurity protocols.
● Detect and report fish health or behavioral changes promptly to prevent disease outbreaks. •Supervise farm attendants in the grow-out section.
● Ensure daily activities are carried out effectively and reported accurately.
● Support the Farm Manager with data analysis, harvest planning, and logistics coordination.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Aquaculture, Fisheries Management, Agricultural
Science, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of practical experience managing grow-out operations
(preferably catfish or tilapia).
Skills:
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Good record-keeping and familiarity with digital farm management tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and make data-driven decisions.
- Mechanical or technical knowledge of aquaculture equipment (aerators, pumps, etc.) is an advantage.
